1st John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched–this we proclaim concerning the Word of life!
Teachers Should Be Tested!
1st John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Matthew 7:15 Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
Matthew 24:11 …many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Matthew 24:24 …false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect–if that were possible.
2 Peter 2:1 There were false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them–bringing swift destruction on themselves.
Acts 17:1-11 The brethren sent Paul and Silas to Berea; when they arrived, they entered the synagogue of the Jews. These [Jews] were better disposed and more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they were entirely ready and accepted and welcomed the message (concerning the attainment through Christ of eternal salvation in the kingdom of God) with inclination of mind and eagerness, searching and examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.
Paul Was Not Threatened For Being Tested By Scriptural Revelation
Galatians 1:8 Even if we (THE APOSTLES) or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!
What You Confess of Jesus Determines Your Spiritual Identity
1st John 4:2-3 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

1st John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One Who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

John 14:16-17 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.

2Co 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel..
Eph 2:2 …you followed the ways of this world and the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.
Eph 6:12 …our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
1Jn 5:19 …We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
Non-Christian Worldviews are Non-Christian!
1st John 4:5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them.
God’s People Receive God’s Teaching
1st John 4:6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
