Behold Your King!

All That Is Ours Must Always Be At The Lord’s Disposal
Luke 19:29-31  As He approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.  If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it.'”

Your Participation With The Lord Fulfils Prophecy
Matthew 21:4-5  This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: “Say to the Daughter of Zion, ‘See, your King comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.'”

Obedience In Small Tasks Leads To Greater Responsibilities
Matthew 21:6-8  The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt, placed their cloaks on them and Jesus sat on them. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.

Matthew 25:20-21  The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’  “His master replied, ‘Well done, good & faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come & share your master’s happiness!’

Experiencing God’s Power Arouses Worship
Luke 19:37-38  When He came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: “Blessed is the King Who comes in the Name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Praise To The Lord Cannot Be Suppressed
Luke 19:39-40  Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”  “I tell you,” He replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out!”

Philippians 2:10-11  …at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Psalm 98:7-9  Let the sea resound and everything in it, the world and all who live in it. Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy; let them sing before the Lord, for HE comes to judge the earth. HE will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity!

Public Worship Helps Other People To See Him
Matthew 21:10-11  When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the Prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Failure To Recognize The Lord Will Leave A Nation Desolate
Luke 19:41-44  As He approached Jerusalem, He wept over it  and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace–but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

Judgement Begins With God’s House
Matthew 21:12  Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves…

1 Peter 4:17  …the time has come for judgment, and it must begin first among God’s own household.

The Lord’s Visitation Is Always SUDDEN
Malachi 3:1  “I will send MY messenger, who will prepare the way before ME. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to HIS Temple; the Messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the LORD Almighty.

Matthew 24:37-42  As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating & drinking, marrying & giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark & they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came & took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.  Two men will be in the field; one will be taken & the other left.  Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken & the other left. “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

All Peoples Must Be Allowed Access To Worship
Mark 11:17  He taught them, “Is it not written: “’My House will be called a House of prayer for all nations? (ethnos) But you have made it a den of robbers!

Isaiah 56:6-8  …foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to serve Him, to love the Name of the LORD and to worship Him, who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to My covenant– these I will bring to My holy mountain and give them joy in My House of prayer! Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations!”  The Sovereign LORD declares– He who gathers the exiles of Israel: “I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered.”

The Worship Of The Lord Opens Eyes And Reveals Hearts
Matthew 21:14-15  The blind and the lame came to Him at the temple and He healed them. But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things He did and the children shouting in the temple area, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant.

The Lord Resides With Those Who Welcome Him!
Matthew 21:16-17  “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked Him. “Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read, “‘From the lips of children and infants You have ordained praise’?” So He left them and went out of the city to Bethany, where He spent the night.
