A Message for Catholics: I was raised in the Roman Catholic Church, baptized and confirmed. Served 8 years as an altar boy, back when the Mass was in Latin. Didn’t have any problems with the priests, who were mostly good men. Spent 12 years in Catholic schools. Got a great education from the Nuns. There was a Bible in every classroom but it was never taught. Any relationship we had with God or Christ had to go through the priests.
I was 37 years old when I first heard of the concept of having a personal relationship with Jesus. Reading the Bible made me realize that I didn’t need a priest between me and Jesus.
