Christ—The Fulfillment Of The Law

Jesus Christ Fulfilled All Scripture
Acts 8:32-35  The place in the Scripture which he read was this: “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, So He opened not His mouth. In His humiliation His justice was taken away and who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth.” So the eunuch asked Philip, “I ask you, of Whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” Then Philip opened his mouth and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.

Scripture Proves Jesus Is Christ
Acts 18:24-28   Apollos was a learned man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. He had been instructed in the way of the Lord and spoke with great fervor and taught about Jesus accurately, but he knew only the baptism of John. He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. Priscilla and Aquila heard him and they invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more accurately. Apollos wanted to go to Achaia…On arriving, he was a great help to those who by grace had believed. For he vigorously refuted the Jews in public debate, proving from the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.

Paul The Apostle Taught That Christ Is The Fulfillment Of Scripture
Acts 26:22-23  …to this very day I have been helped by God and so I stand here giving my witness to all, to small and great alike. What I say is the very same thing which the prophets and Moses said was going to happen: that the Messiah must suffer and be the first one to rise from death, to announce the light of salvation to the Jews and to the Gentiles.

Jesus Is Explicitly Spoken Of In Jewish Scriptures
Acts 28:23-24  …a large number of (Jews from Rome) came to the place where Paul was staying. From morning till night he explained to them his message about the Kingdom of God and he tried to convince them about Jesus by quoting from the Law of Moses and the writings of the prophets.  Some of them were convinced by his words, but others would not believe.

Jesus Christ Taught That He Is The Subject Of Prophetic Promise
Luke 24:25-27  Then Jesus said to them, “How foolish you are, how slow you are to believe everything the prophets said!  Was it not necessary for the Messiah to suffer these things and then to enter His glory?” So Jesus explained to them what was said about Himself in all the Scriptures, beginning with the books of Moses and the writings of all the prophets.

The Lord Can Open Your Mind To Know The Scriptures
Luke 24:44-47  He said to them, “These are the very things I told you about while I was still with you: everything written about Me in the Law of Moses, the writings of the prophets and the Psalms had to come true.” Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures and said to them, “This is what is written: the Messiah must suffer and must rise from death three days later, and in His name the message about repentance and the forgiveness of sins must be preached to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.

God Fulfilled All His Promises In Christs Death
Acts 3:16-18  Through faith in His name, God has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. Brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. God foretold these things by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.

The Prophets Of Old Searched Intently About His Death And The Salvation It Would Bring
1 Peter 1:10-11  It was concerning this salvation that the prophets made careful search and investigation, they prophesied about this gift which God would give you. They tried to find out when the time would be and how it would come. This was the time to which Christ’s Spirit in them was pointing, in predicting the sufferings that Christ would have to endure and the glory that would follow.

Even Angels Are Amazed By Christs Death And Glory
1 Peter 1:12  God revealed to the prophets that their work was not for their own benefit, but for yours, as they spoke about those things which you have now heard from the messengers who announced the Good News by the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. These are things which even the angels would like to understand!

Revelation 5:11-14  I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they sang: “Worthy is the Lamb, Who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea and all that is in them, singing: “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.
