No Other Gospel
2 Peter 3:15-16 …our dear brother Paul wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant & unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
Apostolic Authority Was Appointed By Jesus
Galatians 1:1-5 Paul, an apostle–sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ & God the Father, Who raised Him from the dead– & all the brothers who are with me; To the churches in Galatia: Grace & peace to you from God our Father & the Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God & Father, to Whom be glory for ever & ever. Amen.
Paul Was Chosen By Special Appointment
Acts 9:15-16 “…This man is My chosen instrument to carry My Name before the Gentiles & their kings & before the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for My Name.”
Apostolic Teaching Is Foundational
Ephesians 2:19-21 …you are no longer foreigners & aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people & members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles & prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the chief cornerstone. In Him the whole building is joined together & rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.
Teaching That Confuses Biblical Truth Is A Perversion
Galatians 1:6-7 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting The One Who called you by the grace of Christ & are turning to a different gospel– which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion & are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.
Perversion Of The Gospel Is Perdition
Galatians 1:8-9 But even if we (The Apostles) or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!
A Servant Of Christ Seeks To Please Christ
Galatians 1:10 Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Whom You Serve Determines Whom You Please
Matthew 6:5-6 When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.
Matthew 22:15-16 “Teacher,” they said, “we know you are a man of integrity & that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are.
God’s Truth Is Specifically Revealed
Galatians 1:11-12 I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.
Jesus Personally Appointed The Apostles
Mark 3:13-19 He appointed twelve–designating them apostles–that they might be with Him & that He might send them out to preach & to have authority to drive out demons. These are the twelve He appointed: Simon (to whom He gave the name Peter); James son of Zebedee & his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means Sons of Thunder); Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot & Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Him.
The Apostles Received The Gospel Directly From Jesus
John 17:6-8 I have revealed You to those whom You gave Me out of the world. They were Yours; You gave them to Me & they have obeyed Your Word. Now they know that everything You have given Me comes from You. For I gave them The Words You gave Me & they accepted them.
The Message Of The Apostles Is The Message Of God
John 17:14-18 …I have given them Your Word & the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that You take them out of the world but that You protect them from the Evil One. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; Your Word is Truth. As You sent Me into the world, I have sent them into the world…
