Keeping God First In All Things – Pt 7
Mark 12:29-30
His Priests Are To Offer Spiritual Sacrifices
Ephesians 2:10 … we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
1st Peter 2:5 … you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
1st Peter 2:9 …you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him Who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.
A Believer’s Whole Life Is an Offering to The Lord
Colossians 3:17 …whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

The Continual Offering of Our Total Physical Existence
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test & approve what God’s will is–His good, pleasing & perfect will.
Proclaiming the Gospel to The Unsaved
Romans 15:15b-16 …the grace God gave made me a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Praise for What He Has Done & Does Through The Gospel
Hebrews 13:15-16 By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His Name. But to do good & to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Ministry To The Spiritual Needs of Others
Philippians 2:17 I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
Support Our Own Families
1st Timothy 5:4 …if a widow has children or grandchildren, they should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.
Support for The Preaching of The Gospel
Philippians 4:13-18 …when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving & receiving but you only. In Thessalonica you sent aid for my needs. Not that I seek a gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. I have all I need & more. I received from Epaphroditus the things you sent, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.
Share In Generosity With Others
Hebrews 13:16 …do not forget to do good & to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

Better Than Any Sacrifice Is Putting God First
Mark 12:28-31 One of the teachers of the law asked Him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important? “Jesus answered “The most important one, is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart & with all your soul & with all your mind & with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
Come Into His Kingdom Stop Spectating!
Mark 12:32-34 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is One & there is no other but Him. To love Him with all your heart, with all your understanding & with all your strength & to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings & sacrifices.” When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”
Revelation 5:9-10 …they sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll & to open its seals, because You were slain & with Your blood You purchased men for God from every tribe & language & people & nation. You have made them to be a kingdom & priests to serve our God & they will reign on the earth!”
