Recognizing the Body of Christ
1 Corinthians 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it…
Christ’s Sacrifice Is The Primary Example Of Communion
1 Corinthians 11:23-25 I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
Communion Is An Acknowledgement Of Prophecy and Promise
1 Corinthians 11:26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.
2 Corinthians 5:19 …God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them.
Revelation 19:9-10 The angel said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’ These are the true words of God.” At this I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “Do not do it! Communion Calls For Self-Examination Regarding Ones Attitudes Towards Others
1 Corinthians 11:28-29 You should examine yourself before eating the bread and drinking the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.

Failure To Be “IN Communion” Invites God’s Discipline
1 Corinthians 11:30-32 This is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. But if we judged ourselves, we would not come under judgment. When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.
Recognition Of Christ’s Body Is To Recognize Each Other!
1 Corinthians 11:33-34 So then, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait for each other. If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that when you meet together it may not result in judgment.
The Communion Of Saints Is A Communion With One Another
