Resurrection!
Revelation 1:13-18 …among the lampstands was someone “like a son of man,” dressed in a robe reaching down to His feet with a golden sash around His chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow and His eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace and His voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In His right hand He held seven stars and out of His mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. When I saw HIM, I fell at HIS feet as though dead. Then HE placed HIS right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I AM the FIRST and the LAST. I AM the LIVING ONE; I was dead and behold I AM ALIVE for EVER and EVER and I hold the keys of death and Hades!
Resurrection Is Supernatural
Matthew 28:1-4 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
ONLY Disciples Get To Witness Resurrection
Matthew 28:5-7 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, Who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay. Then go quickly and tell His disciples: He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him. Now I have told you.”
The Resurrection Dispels Fear And Superstition
Matthew 28:8-10 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy and ran to tell His disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” He said. They came to Him, clasped His feet and worshiped Him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see Me.”
Resurrection Seems Ridiculous
Luke 24:9-11 When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense.

The Evidence Is Real Will You Believe It?
John 20:6-10 He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. Finally John, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) Then the disciples went back to where they were staying.
The Resurrection Of Christ Is THE Source Of Joy
John 20:19-20 On the evening of the first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After He said this, He showed them His hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
The Resurrection Offers Peace And The Fullness Of The Spirit Of Peace
John 20:21-23 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you.” With that He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
Unbelief Is Based In Stubbornness
John 20:24-25 Thomas, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in His hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe!”
Doubt Poisons Belief
John 20:26-28 A week later His disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
Belief Is Faith In Things Unseen!
John 20:29-31 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not recorded in this book. These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God and that by believing YOU…may have life in His Name!
1 Corinthians 15:13-14 Resurrection…if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain and your faith also is vain!
The Resurrection Is Foundational
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Brethren, I make known to you the gospel which I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand and by which you are saved, if you possess the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you what I received as of first importance, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that He was buried and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…
The LORD Repeatedly Taught Of His Resurrection
Mark 9:31-31 …He taught His disciples and said to them; The Son of Man is delivered into the hands of men and they shall kill Him and after He is killed, He shall rise the third day!
Matthew 20:17-19 He again taught the twelve and began to tell them what things should happen unto Him, Saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests and unto the scribes; they shall condemn Him to death and shall deliver Him to the Gentiles: They shall mock Him and scourge Him and spit upon Him and shall kill Him: on the third day He shall rise again!
Luke 18:31-33 He took unto Himself the twelve and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man shall be accomplished. The Lord Guarantees The Resurrection Of Life For All Believers
John 6:38-40 I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I will lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, I Myself will raise him up on the last day!”
The LORD Claimed To Personally Be The Resurrection Of Life Itself!
John 11:23-27 Martha said, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” Jesus replied, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha said, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” Jesus declared, “I Am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die! Do you believe this? She said to Him, “Yes, Lord! I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world!”
If You Respond In Faith To The Voice Of The LORD Then The Resurrection Of Life Will Be Yours!
John 5:24-25 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My Word and believes Him Who sent Me, has eternal life and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live!
EVERYONE Will Be Resurrected By God!
John 5:28-29 …Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.
Revelation 20:11-15 I saw a great white throne and HIM WHO was seated upon it. Earth and sky fled from HIS presence for there was no place for them. I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them… each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, they were thrown into the lake of fire.
