Seeds Of Harvest
…what ye sow ye shall reap.

Mark 4:26-32  Jesus went on to say, “The Kingdom of God is like this. A man scatters seed in his field.  He sleeps at night, is up and about during the day, and all the while the seeds are sprouting and growing. Yet he does not know how it happens.  The soil itself makes the plants grow and bear fruit; first the tender stalk appears, then the head, and finally the head full of grain.  When the grain is ripe, the man starts cutting it with his sickle, because harvest time has come.
“What shall we say the Kingdom of God is like?” asked Jesus. “What parable shall we use to explain it? It is like this. A man takes a mustard seed, the smallest seed in the world, and plants it in the ground. After a while it grows up and becomes the biggest of all plants. It puts out such large branches that the birds come and make their nests in its shade.”

God Designed Things to Grow

-Seeds Come From Many Sources, People, Social Media, Music, Books etc…

Everything Begins In Seed Form
Genesis 1:11  Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.

Genesis 1:12  The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Seeds Have Exponential Power
Job 8:7  Though thy beginning is small, yet thy latter end will greatly increase.

A Seed Cannot Increase Unless It Is Planted
John 12:23-24  Jesus answered, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.  Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

A question to put to yourself—What do I need to do TODAY in order to get where I want to be TOMORROW mentally, physically, relationally, career wise and spiritually…?

God Expects Growth
Matthew 25:20-30  The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’ “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ “The man with the two talents also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.’ “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
-“Then the man who had received the one talent came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’ “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest. “‘Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents.
-“For everyone who has will be given more and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. Throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Whenever You Have Need Plant A Seed!

Don’t Eat All Your Seed! Save Some For Planting!
Genesis 47:20b  Every Egyptian sold his fields because the famine was so severe. The land became Pharaoh’s…

Genesis 47:23-24  Joseph said to the people, “Now that I have bought you and your land for Pharaoh, here is seed for you. Plant crops in the land. Every time you harvest, give one-fifth (20%) of the produce to Pharaoh. Four-fifths (80%) will be yours to use as seed for your fields and as food for your households.”

2 Corinthians 9:10-11  For God, Who gives seed to the farmer to plant, and later on good crops to harvest and eat, will give you more and more seed to plant and will make it grow so that you can give away more and more fruit from your harvest.

The Purpose Of Gaining Wealth Is To Increase Generosity
Galatians 6:7-10  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Hosea 10:12-13  Plant the good seeds of righteousness and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that He may come and shower righteousness upon you. But you have cultivated wickedness and harvested a thriving crop of sins. You have eaten the fruit of lies—

Jeremiah 4:1-4   “O Israel,” says the LORD, “if you wanted to return to Me, you could. You could throw away your detestable idols and stray away no more. Then when you swear by My Name, saying, ‘As surely as the LORD lives,’ you could do so with truth, justice and righteousness. Then you would be a blessing to the nations of the world and all people would come and praise My Name!”  This is what the LORD says to the people of Judah and Jerusalem: “Plow up the hard ground of your hearts! Do not waste your good seed among thorns.  O people of Judah and Jerusalem, surrender your pride and power. Change your hearts before the LORD, or my anger will burn like an unquenchable fire because of all your sins.
