Vision 2020
Biblical Principles of Spiritual Sight Pt 2
John 1:9 (He) is the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

Principle #1
A  Biblically Correct Knowledge of Jesus Christ Recognizes His Timelessness
John 1:1-2  In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.

Revelation 1:8
Revelation 1:10-11
Revelation 1:17-18

God Became 100% Human In The Person Of Jesus Christ
John 1:14  And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

1 Timothy 3:16

Philippians 2:6-8  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation and took upon Him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men: Being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself…

Jesus Christ Was Pre-existent
John 1:15  John bare witness of Him and cried, saying, This was He of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for He was before me.

John 8:58
John 6:38
1 Corinthians 15:47
John 17:5
John 8:23

To Receive Grace Is To Receive Jesus
John 1:16-17  And of His fullness have all we received, grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Principle #2
Only Jesus Christ Can Reveal God To You
John 1:18  No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him.

John 8:24
John 14:6
Acts 4:12
1 Timothy 2:5

Principle #3
Human Witness Must Defer To The True Source Of Light And Life
John 1:6-8  There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.  The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

True Prophets Do Not Claim What Is Only God’s To Claim
John 1:19-21  This was John’s testimony when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests & Levites to ask him who he was. He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Christ.” They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.”

A Prophet Prepares People To Meet God By The Proclamation Of God’s Word
John 1:22-23  Finally they said, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?” John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.'”

Principle #4
True Prophecy Opens Blind Eyes To Behold The Lord
John 1:24-28  Some Pharisees who had been sent questioned him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”  “I baptize with water,” John replied, “but among you stands one you do not know. He is the one who comes after me, the thongs of Whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.” This all happened at Bethany on the other side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
