2020 Vision- Pt. 8
“I Who speak to you am He!”
The Lord Reveals Himself To Those Who Look For Him
John 4:25-26 The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When He comes, He will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus declared, “I Who speak to you am He.”
Deuteronomy 4:29 If you seek the Lord your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Jeremiah 29:13 …Ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me will all your heart.
Hebrews 11:6 …without faith it is impossible to please God, anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
The Lord’s Example Speaks Loudly
John 4:27 Just then His disciples returned and were surprised to find Him talking with a woman. But no one asked, “What do you want?” “Why are you talking with her?”
Mark 2:15-17 While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and “sinners” were eating with Him and His disciples, for there were many who followed Him. When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw Him eating with the “sinners” and tax collectors, they asked His disciples: “Why does He eat with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?” On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Unlocking ONE Heart Unlocks A Network Of Hearts
John 4:28-30 Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could this be the Messiah?” They came out of the town and made their way toward Him.
Physical Demands Oppose Spiritual Ones
John 4:31-33 Meanwhile His disciples urged Him, “Rabbi, eat something.” But He said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” Then His disciples said to each other, “Could someone have brought Him food?”
Galatians 5:16-17 Live by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.
Spiritual Sustenance Is Found In Spiritual Obedience
John 4:34 My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of Him Who sent Me and to finish His work.
The Harvest Is Reaching People For The Lord!
John 4:35-38 Do you not say, ‘Four more months and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest! Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.”
People Could Turn To The Lord Because Of Your Life Story!
John 4:39-41 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in Him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to Him, they urged Him to stay with them and He stayed two days.
Believing Is Knowing Who The Lord Is Your Savior!
John 4:41-42 Because of His words many more became believers. They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves and we know that this Man really is the Savior of the world!”
