He Tabernacled Amongst Us
…and we beheld His glory, full of grace and truth…

John 1:11 He Came Unto His Own And His Own Received Him Not…
John 7:1  After this, Jesus went around in Galilee, purposely staying away from Judea because the Jews there were waiting to take his life.

Matthew 10:36  A Man’s Enemies Will Be The Members Of His Own Family
John 7:2-5  When the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near, Jesus’ brothers said to him, “You ought to leave here and go to Judea, so that your disciples may see the miracles you do. No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world. “For even his own brothers did not believe in him.

John 15:18-19 If The World Hates You, Be Aware That  It Hated Me First If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. However, you do not belong to the world, for I chose you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you. (Remember we are at war!!)

John 7:6-9 Therefore Jesus told them, “The right time for me has not yet come; for you any time is right. The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil. You go to the Feast. I am not yet going up to this Feast, because for me the right time has not yet come.” Having said this, he stayed in Galilee.

Freedom Of Speech Is Lost For Fear Of Authority
John 7:10-13 …after his brothers left for the Feast, he went also, not publicly, but in secret. Now at the Feast the (Jewish Leaders) were watching for him and asking, “Where is that man?” Among the crowds there was widespread whispering about Him. Some said, “He is a good man.” Others replied, “No, He deceives the people.” But no one would say anything publicly about him for fear of the Jews.

Cultural Elites Have Contempt For The Common Man
John 7:14-15  Not until halfway through the Feast did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach. The Jews were amazed and asked, “How did this man get such learning without having studied?”

The Choice…Believe: The Words Of God Or The Words Of Man
John 7:16-18  Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

Murder Begins In The Heart
Mark 7:21  …from within the hearts of men come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft and MURDER…

John 7:19-21  Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?” “You are demon-possessed,” the crowd answered. “Who is trying to kill you?” Jesus said to them, “I did one miracle and you are all astonished.”

John 5:5-18  One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”
Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath, so the Jews said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat.” But he replied, “The man who made me well said to me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk.'”
So they asked him, “Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?”  The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.  Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”
The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews persecuted him.  Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working.” For this reason, the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

Doing Right Is Right Even When It Is Seen As Wrong!
John 7:22-24  …and yet, because Moses gave you circumcision (though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs), you circumcise a child on the Sabbath. If a child can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry with me for healing the whole man on the Sabbath? Stop judging by mere appearances, make a right judgment!”
