The Light of The World Is Jesus!
Faith Comes By Hearing! Not Seeing!
John 12:37-38 But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: “Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?”
Hearing God’s Word Is Believing God’s Word!
Romans 10:16-17 But they (Israel) have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God!
Hardening Against God’s Word Is Gradual And Generational
John 12:39-41 Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again: “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.” These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.

Israel’s Hardening Is To The Benefit Of The Rest Of The World
Romans 11:25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.
Only Repentant Sinners Can Cry Out For God’s Forgiveness!
Romans 11:31-32 …they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
Peer Pressure Inhibits Confession Of Christ
John 12:42-43 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue;
for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
ONLY JESUS CHRIST CAN OPEN BLIND EYES!
John 12:44-46 Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him Who sent Me! He who sees Me sees Him Who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness!
The Son Of God Came To Save Sinners
John 12:47-48 If anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me and does not receive My words, has that which judges him–the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day!
The Message Of God Through His Son Is Forgiveness Apart From Him It Is Judgement
John 12:49-50 I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father Who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”
Romans 11:33-36 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom & knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments & His paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor? Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him? For from Him & through Him & to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.
