The Abode of God
…in my Father’s house are many mansions…

Our Comfort Comes From The Promises Of The Lord
John 14:1-3  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Our Relationship With Jesus Christ  Is Our Relationship With God
John 14:4-7  You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we don’t know where You are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.”

The Deity Of Christ Is Essential Doctrine
John 14:8-10  Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t you know Me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? The words I say to you are not just My own. Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, Who is doing His work.

The Greater Work Of Believers Is The Greater Gospel Impact Compared
John 14:11-14  Believe Me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father, and I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask Me for anything in My name and I will do it.

The Doctrine Of The Spirit Is Essential Doctrine
John 14:15-17  If ye love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; Whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you and shall be in you.

Our Comfort Comes From The Presence Of The Lord
John 14:18-21  I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world seeth Me no more; but ye see Me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father and ye in Me, and I in you. He that hath My commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him.

The Abode Of God Is With His People
John 14:22-24  Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest Thyself unto us and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him and We will come unto him and make our abode with him. He that loveth Me not keepeth not My sayings: and the word which ye hear is not Mine, but the Father’s which sent Me.

The Comfort Of The Lord Is The Holy Spirit
John 14:25-27  These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

God’s Plans For Us Are Always Best
John 14:28-31  Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away and come again unto you. If ye loved Me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for My Father is greater than I. Now I have told you before it comes to pass so that when it is come to pass, ye might believe. Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh and hath nothing in Me. But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave Me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
