The Plans of Man vs. The Plans of God
Psalm 2:1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?

God’s Power SUPERCEDES ALL HUMAN POWER
John 11:43-44  When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”  The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

Human Alliances Often Interfere With Faith
John 11:45-46  Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary and had seen what Jesus did, put their faith in Him.  But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done.

Human Government THINKS That They Control The Actions Of Their People
John 11:47-48  Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin. “What are we accomplishing?” they asked. “Here is this man performing many miraculous signs. If we let Him go on like this, everyone will believe in Him, then the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation!”

Worldly Leadership Is Always Willing To Sacrifice Others To Secure Their Position
John 11:49-50  Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, “You know nothing at all!  You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.”

The Plans Of Man Are Many But The Will Of The Lord Prevails  (Proverbs 19:21)
John 11:51-52  He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.

There Is A Time For Everything  (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
John 11:53-54  So from that day on they plotted to take His life. Therefore Jesus no longer moved about publicly among the Jews. Instead He withdrew to a region near the desert, to a village called Ephraim, where He stayed with His disciples.

The Lord’s Plans Are Generally Unknown But They Are Revealed To His People
John 11:55-56  When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, many went up from the country to Jerusalem for their ceremonial cleansing before the Passover. They kept looking for Jesus and as they stood in the temple area asking one another, “What do you think? Will He come to the Feast?”

The World System Arrays Itself Against The Plans Of The Lord
John 11:57  But the chief priests and Pharisees had given orders that if anyone found out where Jesus was, he should report it so that they might arrest him.

Psalm 2:1-12
Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather against the LORD and against His Anointed One. “Let us break their chains,” they say, “and throw off their fetters.”  The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. Then He rebukes them in His anger and terrifies them in His wrath…
…saying,  “I have installed My King on Zion, My holy hill.”  I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.  Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”
Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for His wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him!
