Speaking the Very Words of God
Exodus 7:1-2 The LORD said to Moses, I have made thee (like) a god to Pharaoh: & Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: & Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
1st Peter 4:11
Jeremiah 23:27-29 They (false prophets) think the dreams they tell one another will make my people forget My Name, just as their fathers forgot My Name through Baal worship. Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream, but let the one who has My Word speak it faithfully! For what has straw to do with grain?” declares the LORD. “Is not My Word like fire,” declares the LORD, “Like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?”
Even Man’s Opposition to God Glorifies Him
Exodus 7:3-5 I will harden Pharaoh’s heart & multiply My signs & My wonders in the land of Egypt. Pharaoh will not hearken unto you, that I may lay My hand upon Egypt, & bring forth Mine armies & My people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. The Egyptians shall know that I Am the LORD, when I stretch forth Mine hand upon Egypt & bring out the children of Israel from among them.
Romans 9:17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display My power by you (your stubborn hardened heart) and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”
Obedience is to Speak to Others about God
Exodus 7:6-7 Moses & Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they. Moses was fourscore years old, & Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spoke unto Pharaoh.
The Shepherds’ Staff Defends Us
Exodus 7:8-10 The LORD said to Moses & Aaron, “When Pharaoh says to you, ‘Perform a miracle,’ then say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff & throw it down before Pharaoh,’ & it will become a snake.” So Moses & Aaron went to Pharaoh & did just as the LORD commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh & his officials, & it became a snake.

Exodus 7:11-12 Pharaoh then summoned wise men & sorcerers, & the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts: Each one threw down his staff & it became a snake. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.

Exodus 7:15-16 Go to Pharaoh in the morning as he goes out to the water. Wait on the bank of the Nile to meet him, & take in your hand the staff that was changed into a snake. Then say to him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to say to you: Let My people go, so that they may worship Me in the desert. But until now you have not listened.

God Is Known To Be God By His Judgements
Exodus 7:17-19 This is what the LORD says: “By this you will know that I am the LORD: With the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water of the Nile, & it will be changed into blood. The fish in the Nile will die, & the river will stink; the Egyptians will not be able to drink its water.” The LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Take your staff & stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt–over the streams & canals, over the ponds & all the reservoirs & they will turn to blood. Blood will be everywhere in Egypt, even in the wooden buckets & stone jars.”
Revelation 16:5-7 Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say: “You are just in these judgments, You Who are & Who were, the Holy One, because You have so judged; for they have shed the blood of Your saints & prophets, & You have given them blood to drink as they deserve!” Then I heard the altar respond: “Yes, Lord God Almighty, true & just are your judgments!”
God’s Promises Are Always Kept
Exodus 7:20-21 Moses & Aaron did just as the LORD had commanded. He raised his staff in the presence of Pharaoh & his officials & struck the water of the Nile, & all the water was changed into blood. The fish in the Nile died, & the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. Blood was everywhere in Egypt.
Revelation 16:3-4 The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, & it turned into blood like that of a dead man, & every living thing in the sea died. The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers & springs of water, & they became blood.
Refusal To Heed God’s Word Reveals An Unbelieving Heart
Exodus 7:22-24 But the Egyptian magicians did the same things by their secret arts, & Pharaoh’s heart became hard; he would not listen to Moses & Aaron, just as the LORD had said. Instead, he turned & went into his palace, & did not take even this to heart. All the Egyptians dug along the Nile to get drinking water, because they could not drink the water of the river.
YOU NEED A HEART TRANSPLANT!
Ezekiel 36:25-26 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh!
