Let My people go that they may worship Me!
Our Spiritual Battle Is About Worship
Exodus 9:1 The LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh & say to him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let My people go, so that they may worship Me!”

The Devil’s Desire Is To Be Worshipped
Luke 4:5-7 The devil led Him up to a high place & showed Him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. He said to Him, “I will give You all their authority & splendor, for it has been given to me, & I can give it to anyone I want to. So if You worship me, it will all be Yours!”

Refusal To Worship God Results In False Worship
Revelation 13:4-8 Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, & they also worshiped the beast… All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.
To Worship Anyone But God Is An Eternal Sin
Revelation 14:9-11 A third angel said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast & his image & receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand he will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. The smoke of their torment rises for ever & ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast & his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.”
False Worship Is Intolerant Of True
Revelation 13:11-15 I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon. He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, & made the earth & its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed. He performed great & miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men.
Because of the signs he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword & yet lived. He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak & caused all who refused to worship the image to be killed.
False Worship Is Idolatry
Revelation 9:20-21 The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, & idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone & wood–idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.
Refusal To Heed God’s Word Invites Destruction
Exodus 9:2-4 If you refuse to let them go & continue to hold them back, the hand of the LORD will bring a terrible plague on your livestock in the field, on your horses & donkeys & camels & on your cattle & sheep & goats. But the LORD will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel & that of Egypt, so that no animal belonging to the Israelites will die.'”
God’s Discipline Is Incremental
Exodus 9:8-10 Then the LORD said to Moses & Aaron, “Take handfuls of soot from a furnace & have Moses toss it into the air in the presence of Pharaoh. It will become fine dust over the whole land of Egypt, & festering boils will break out on men & animals throughout the land.” So they took soot from a furnace & stood before Pharaoh. Moses tossed it into the air, & festering boils broke out on men & animals.
Hardhearted People Face A Hard Future
Exodus 9:11-12 The magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils that were on them and on all the Egyptians. But the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said to Moses.
