The Resurrection Body
Isaiah 25:7-8  On this mountain He will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken.

Revelation 1:13-18  …among the lampstands was someone “like a son of man,” dressed in a robe reaching down to His feet, with a golden sash around His chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, His eyes were like blazing fire.  His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace and His voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In His right hand He held seven stars and out of His mouth came a sharp double-edged sword.
His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead. He placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.  I am the Living One; I was dead; behold I am alive for ever and ever! I hold the keys of death and Hades!

Resurrection Is Promised Throughout The Bible
Daniel 12:1-3  At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people–everyone whose name is found written in the book–will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever!

Psalm 71:20  Though You have made me see troubles, many and bitter, You will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth You will again bring me up.

Hosea 13:14  “I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O grave, is your destruction?”

Job 19:25-27  I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He shall stand upon the earth. Though my body be destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; I myself will see Him with my own eyes—How my heart yearns within me!

Resurrection Bodies Will Not Die
Luke 20:34-36  Jesus replied, “The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are considered worthy of taking part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.

Christ’s Resurrection Guarantees Yours
1 Corinthians 6:14  By His power God raised the Lord from the dead and He will raise us also.

2 Corinthians 4:14a  …we know that the One Who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus…

In Adam We Die– By Christ We Rise
1 Corinthians 15:20-22  Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

The New Body Springs Forth From The Old
1 Corinthians 15:35-38  Someone may ask, “How will the dead be raised? What kind of bodies will they have?” Thou Fool! When you put a seed into the ground, it doesn’t grow into a plant unless it dies first. What you put in the ground is not the plant that will grow, but only a bare seed of wheat or whatever you are planting. Then God gives it the new body He wants it to have. A different plant grows from each kind of seed.

The Diversity Of Created Things Foreshadows Diversity In Resurrection Bodies
1 Corinthians 15:39-41  Similarly there are different kinds of flesh—one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish. There are also bodies in the heavens and bodies on the earth. The glory of the heavenly bodies is different from the glory of the earthly bodies. The sun has one kind of glory, while the moon and stars each have another kind. Even the stars differ from each other in their glory.

From Corruption Shall Incorruption Arise
1 Corinthians 15:42-44  It is the same way with the resurrection of the dead. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.

Our Resurrection Body Will Be Like His!
1 Corinthians 15:45-49  The Scriptures tell us, “The first man, Adam, became a living person.” But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit.  What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later. Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. Earthly people are like the earthly man and heavenly people are like the heavenly man. Just as we are now like the earthly man, we will someday be like the heavenly man. (Jesus)

You Need An Undying Body To Be In A Place Of No Death!
1 Corinthians 15:50  What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.

The Resurrection Will Be Split Second Total Physical Transformation
1 Corinthians 15:51-53  Let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed!  It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. When the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. Then we who are living will also be transformed. Our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.

The Resurrection Is The Destiny Of A Believer
1 Thessalonians 4:13-15  Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. According to the Lord’s Own Word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

Resurrection Is The Destiny Of All People
John 5:28-29  Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear His voice and come out–those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.

Daniel 12:3  Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

Revelation 20:11-15  I saw a great white throne and Him that sat on it, from Whose face the earth and the heavens fled away; there was found no place for them. I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God; the books were opened: another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. The sea gave up the dead which were in it and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: they were judged every man according to their works. Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The Resurrection Of Life Is Spiritual In Essence
John 5:24-27  I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him Who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.  I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.  For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself.  He has given Him authority to judge because He is the Son of Man.

The Resurrection Is Our Ultimate Encouragement
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18  For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.

Believer’s Resurrection Can Be Yours
Romans 10:9  …if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Revelation 21:3-5  I heard a loud voice from the throne of God saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men and He will live with them. They will be His people and God Himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”  He Who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
