The Word of Life Pt. 3
Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did.

To Walk As The Lord Is To Walk With The Lord
1 John 2:6  This is how we know we are in Him: Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did.

Galatians 5:22-26   …the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Titus 3:1-7  …be subject to rulers and authorities, obey and be ready for every good work, speak evil of no one, be peaceable and gentle, showing all humility to all men. For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy–He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, Whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life!

Jesus Was Submissive
Matthew 3:13-15  Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. But John prevented Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You! And are You coming to me?!” But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.

Matthew 3:11-12  I baptize you with water unto repentance, but He Who is coming after me is mightier than I—Whose sandals I am not worthy to carry! He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire!”

Jesus Touched People That No One Would
Matthew 8:2-3  …behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying,I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Jesus Reached Across Ethnic Boundaries
Matthew 8:5-7  …a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

Jesus Ministered To The In-Laws!
Matthew 8:14-15  Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother (in-law!) lying sick with a fever. So, He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.

Jesus Offered Forgiveness Publicly
Matthew 9:2  Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.”

Matthew 9:9-11  …He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office and He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him. Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. When the Pharisees saw, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

Jesus Personally Interacted With Social Outcasts
Matthew 9:12-13  When Jesus heard, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

Jesus Ranked The Family Of God First
Matthew 12:46-50  While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. Then one said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.”

…He answered, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”

Jesus Confronted The Self-Righteous
Matthew 15:1-3  …the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying, “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” He answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?

Jesus Ministered To Children
Matthew 19:13-15  …little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” He laid His hands on them and departed from there.

Matthew 26:6-9  While Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table. When His disciples (Judas) saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste? For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor.”

Jesus Defended A Personal Act Of Worship
Matthew 26:10-13  Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”

Jesus Prayed Daily Before Ministering
Mark 1:35-38  Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. When they found Him, they said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.” But He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.”

Colossians 1:15-20  He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. By Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things and in Him all things hold together.

He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy.  For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross.
