Who Has Believed Our Message?
John 12:37-38

God’s Answer to Sin Is Incredulous
Isaiah 53:1  Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

God’s Son Seemed Ordinary
Isaiah 53:2  He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him.

He Is Rejected Because Of What He Accepted
Isaiah 53:3  He was despised & rejected by men, a man of sorrows, familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces He was despised & we esteemed Him not.

To Us A Suffering Savior Is Inconceivable
Isaiah 53:4  Surely He took up our infirmities & carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, afflicted.

His Suffering IS Our Redemption
Isaiah 53:5  But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, by His wounds we are healed.

He Is Our Scapegoat Before God
Isaiah 53:6  We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Leviticus 16:7-10

Leviticus 16:21-22

He Paid for Our Sin By Doing, Not Saying
Isaiah 53:7  He was oppressed & afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth.

Sin Reveals Itself In His Death
Isaiah 53:8  By oppression & judgment He was taken away. Who can speak of His descendants? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of My people He was stricken.

Thy Will Be Done, Not Mine
Isaiah 53:9-10  He was assigned a grave with the wicked & with the rich in His death, though He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush Him & cause Him to suffer…

As Our Guilt Offering He Justifies Us
Isaiah 53:10-11 …though the LORD makes His life a guilt offering, He will see His offspring & prolong His days & the will of the LORD will prosper in His hand. After the suffering of His soul, He will see the light of life & be satisfied; by His knowledge My righteous Servant will justify many, & He will bear their iniquities.

Isaiah 53:12  Therefore I will give Him a portion among the great, and He will divide the spoils with the strong, because He poured out His life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Philippians 2:9-11  Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Revelation 5:12-14  Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power & wealth & wisdom & strength & honor & glory & praise!” Then I heard every creature in heaven & on earth & under the earth & on the sea, & all that is in them, singing: “To him who sits on the throne & to the Lamb be praise & honor and glory & power, for ever & ever!” The four living creatures said, “Amen,” & the elders fell down & worshiped.
