The Law Is Meant To Bring Us To Christ
Galatians 3:24-26 Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
The Gospel Reveals God’s Righteousness: Faith In What Jesus Has Done
Romans 1:16-17 I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, & also to the Greek. For therein (In The Gospel) is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
The Righteousness Of God Is By Faith In What Jesus Did For The Sinner
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; (In What Jesus Did on the Cross) & that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, (religious or human effort) lest any man should boast.
Law Reveals Sin But Cannot Redeem From It
Galatians 2:21 I don’t nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose!
Galatians 3:21b …if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law
Romans 3:20 …by works of the law no one will be justified in His sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
To Know Christ Is Better Than Any Religious Accomplishment
Philippians 3:8-9 I count everything (all religious accomplishment & pedigree) as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things & count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ & be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—
God’s Righteousness Is Shown In His People Being Forgiven Of Sin
2 Corinthians 5:18-19 & 21 …all these things are from God, Who reconciled us to Himself through Christ & gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them …He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
What Christ Did Fulfilled The Law In The Believer Since He Died In Our Stead
Romans 8:3-4 …what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
The Promise Is By Faith In What God Did
Galatians 3:13-14 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE”— in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
The Promise Of The Spirit Comes When We Believed!
