2020 Vision Pt.12
John 6:15 Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make Him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by Himself.
Jesus Christ Is Our Passover Lamb
John 6:1-4 Some time after this, Jesus crossed to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee (that is, the Sea of Tiberias), a great crowd of people followed Him because they saw the miraculous signs He had performed on the sick. Then Jesus went up on a mountainside and sat down with His disciples. The Jewish Passover Feast was near.
John 1:35-36 The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”
1 Corinthians 5:7b …Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
Revelation 5:6a I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders…
The Lord Will Exercise Your Faith
John 6:5-6 When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” He asked this only to test him, for He already had in mind what He was going to do.
The Magnitude Of Human Need Is Beyond Human Ability
John 6:7-9 Philip answered him, “Eight months’ wages would not buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!” Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up, “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?”
Offer To The Lord Whatever You Have And He Will Meet Your Need And More
John 6:10-11 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” There was plenty of grass in that place and the men sat down, about five thousand of them. Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.
When The Lord Gives It Overflows!
John 6:12-13 When they had all had enough to eat, He said to His disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.” So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.
Malachi 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it!
Proverbs 3:9-10 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
Human Nature Desires Leadership That Meets Their Immediate Needs
John 6:14-15 After the people saw the miraculous sign that Jesus did, they began to say, “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.” Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make Him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by Himself.
Satan Offered The Kingdom To Christ WITHOUT THE CROSS
Matthew 4:8-9 …the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
The Kingdom Of God Is Not Of This World
John 18:36-37 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews. My kingdom is from another place.” “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You are right in saying I am King! In fact, for this reason I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to Me!”
The Kingdom Of God Is Promised By God
Psalm 2:8-9 Ask of ME! I will make the nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth Your possession. You will rule them with an iron scepter; You will dash them to pieces like pottery.
Daniel 7:13-14 …before me was One like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days & was led into His presence. He was given authority, glory & sovereign power; all peoples, nations & men of every language worshiped Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
