No Other Gospel Pt 3
Galatians 2:15-16  We who are Jews by birth & not ‘Gentile sinners’ KNOW that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we too (Born Again Jews) have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.

To Seek Christ Is To Admit Sinfulness
Galatians 2:17-18  But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? (Answering a Spurious Charge) God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

Compromising Grace With Law Is Transgression
Galatians 2:11-12  When Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was clearly in the wrong. Before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back & separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group.

Actions That Compromise Grace Compromise The Gospel
Galatians 2:13-14  The other Jews (In The Church) joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray. When I saw that THEY WERE NOT ACTING IN LINE WITH THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL, I said to Peter in front of them all, “You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile & not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?

Peter, by his shifts had contradicted himself helplessly as Paul shows by this condition. When he lived like a Gentile, he tore down the ceremonial law. When he lived like a Jew, he tore down salvation by grace. (Word Pictures In The New Testament)

Christ’s Death Frees Us From The Law’s Penalty
Galatians 2:19-20  For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ:

Romans 6:6-8a

Christ’s Death Allows Him To Live Through The Life Of The Believing Sinner
Galatians 2:20 …nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ Who liveth in me & the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me & gave Himself for me.

Memory Verse – Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I,
but Christ Who liveth in me:
and the life I live in the flesh,
I live by faith in the Son of God,
Who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Any Attempt To Add To Grace Is To Abandon It
Galatians 2:21  I do not nullify the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ died in vain.

Mark 7:13

Acts 15:5-11  Church Council at Jerusalem
…some of the Pharisees who had believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise the Gentiles & to command them to keep the law of Moses.” The apostles & elders came together to consider this matter.  After much dispute, Peter rose up & said to them: “Men & brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel & believe. So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us & made no distinction between us & them, purifying their hearts by faith. Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they.”
