Behold! The Lamb of God; Who Taketh Away The Sins Of The World!
1 John 3:5  But you know that He appeared so that He might take away our sins. In Him is no sin.

God Himself Will Provide The Offering
Genesis 22:6-8   Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?” “Yes, my son?” Abraham replied. “The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” Abraham answered, “God Himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.”

Genesis 22:11-14  The angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” He said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from Me your son, your only son.” Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. To this day it is said, “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.”

God Has Provided The Sacrifice In The Person Of Jesus Christ
John 10:11 and 15-17  I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep… just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father– I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to My voice and there shall be one flock and One Shepherd. The reason My Father loves Me is that I lay down My life–only to take it up again!

John 1:29  The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world!

1 Corinthians 5:7  Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast–as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Unbelief Concerning Who Jesus Is Has Eternal Consequence
John 8:24  I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins.

Ezekiel 3:20  …when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity and I place an obstacle before him, he will die; since you have not warned him, he shall die in his sin …

John MacArthur:  …to die in your sins is to be disbelieve the gospel. You don’t have to go out and kill someone and be bad to go to hell, because hell is not just for “bad people” it is for everyone and anyone who refuses Christ. It isn’t enough to believe that Jesus is the One you think He is; you must believe that He is the One He claimed to be

“I am the bread of life” John 6:35, “He who believes in Me will never thirst”, “I AM the Light of the world” 8:12, “I am the good shepherd” 10:11, “I AM the door” 10:9, “I AM the resurrection and the life” 11:25, “I AM the way and the truth and the life” 14:6.

Saving faith is not just a question of turning from sin…but of trusting in the Son of God. It’s a question of believing Jesus is Who He claimed to be.

Jesus Lifted Up On The Cross Is The Emblem Of God’s Love
John 8:28-30  Jesus said unto them, “When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am, I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father hath taught Me, I speak these things.  He that sent Me is with Me: the Father hath not left Me alone; for I do always those things that please Him.”  As He spake these words, many believed on Him.

John 12:32  But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.

John 8:56-59  Abraham rejoiced to see My day: he saw and was glad.  They said unto Him, “Thou art not yet fifty years old and hast thou seen Abraham?”  Jesus replied, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I Am!”  Then took they up stones to cast at Him: but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them and so passed by.
