A Year For Ministry

Consecration Pt 2

Consecration is a Voluntary Action

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1

Consecration Must Be Continual

Exodus 29:38 This is what you are to offer on the altar regularly each day: two lambs a year old. Offer one in the morning and the other at twilight.

Consecration is a COMPLETE Offering

…the priest is to bring all of it and burn it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.

Leviticus 1:13

Christ is the Final Sin Sacrifice

Hebrews 7:27 Unlike the other high priests, He does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for His own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He was sacrificed for our sins once and for all when He offered Himself.

PraiseIs A Sacrifice

Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess His Name!

Consecration is our Reasonable Service

1st Corinthians 6:19-20

…do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit… and YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN? For you were bought at a price.

…you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver and gold… but with the precious blood of Christ. 1st Peter 1:18,19

Consecration is Compelled By His Love

2nd Corinthians 5:14

The love of Christ compels us…

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God…

Romans 12:1
