A Psalm of Thanksgiving
Psalm 50:23  Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct rightly shall I show the salvation of God.

Because Of Who He Is
Psalm 145:3  Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure His greatness.

Psalm 97:12  Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous & give thanks to His Holy Name!

Psalm 107:8-9  Let them give thanks to the LORD for His unfailing love & His wonderful deeds for men, for He satisfies the thirsty & fills the hungry with good things.

Psalm 7:17  I will give thanks to the LORD because of His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Psalm 54:6  I will freely sacrifice unto Thee: I will praise Yhy name, O LORD; for it is good.

Psalm 118:1  Give thanks to the LORD for He is good; His love endures forever.

Two Ways To Thank Him For Who He Is

1. Singing To Him With All Your Heart
Psalm 147:7  Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp.

Ephesians 5:19-20  Speak to one another with psalms, hymns & spiritual songs. Sing & make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2. Because Of What He Has Done
Psalm 52:9  I will praise You forever for what You have done; in Your name I will hope, for Your Name is Good! I will praise You in the presence of Your saints!

He Created You—Psalm 148:5  …Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He commanded and they were created.

He Saved You—Psalm 9:14  …at the gates of Jerusalem, I will praise You; I will rejoice because You saved me.

He Answers Your Prayers—Psalm 118:21  I will give You thanks, for You answered me; You have become my salvation.

He Guides You—Psalm 16:7  I praise the LORD because He advises me; Even at night, I feel His leading

He Died For YouRomans 5:6-8  You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His
own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Two Ways to Thank Him for What He Has Done

1. Telling Others About Him
Isaiah 12:4  In that day you will say: “Give thanks to the LORD, call on His Name; make known among the nations what He has done & proclaim that His Name is exalted!

Romans 1:16  I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes:

2. Give Him An Offering
Psalm 50:14  Give an offering to show thanks to God. Give God Most High what you have promised.

Deuteronomy 16:9-10  Count off seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain. Then celebrate the Feast of Weeks to the LORD your God by giving a freewill offering in proportion to the blessings the LORD your God has given you.

Giving Causes Others To Be Thankful
2 Corinthians 9:11-13  You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.

Because Of What He Has Promised
John 11:25-26  Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Matthew 6:33  The thing you should want most is God’s kingdom and doing what God wants. Then all these other things you need will be given to you.

Hebrews 13:5  …Keep your lives free from the love of money, be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never leave you; I will never forget you.

Thankfulness Is An Act Of Eternal Worship
