Christ Will Come Again
Revelation 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” “Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!”
In The Same Way That He Left
Rev 1:7 Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of Him. So shall it be! Amen.
At Christ’s Coming His Glory Will Be Revealed
Matthew 25:31 When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His throne in heavenly glory.
Matt 16:27 The Son of Man is going to come in His Father’s glory with His angels, and then He will reward each person according to what he has done.
Mark 13:26 At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
Matt 19:28 Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
The Return of Christ Will Be Unexpected
Luke 12:37-40 …understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.
1st Thessalonians 5:2 …you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
Christ’s Return Will Be Visible To All
Matt 24:26-27 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
The Sign Of Christ’s Coming Is Christ Coming!
Matthew 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
Christ’s Return Is Set By The Father
Matthew 24:36-39 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Acts 1:7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority…”
Christ’s Return Is The Hope of Christians
Titus 2:11-13 For the grace of God has appeared offering salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ…
Christ’s Coming Will Vindicate Christianity
2nd Thessalonians 1:6-10 God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled…this will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with His powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might on the day He comes to be glorified in His holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.
Christ’s Coming Reunites, Resurrects & Glorifies All of His People
I Thessalonians 4:14-15 We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.
Christ’s Coming IS the Rapture
I Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
Christ’s Coming Is Our Inheritance
I Peter 1:3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
