Christ’s Return Has A Dual Impact
1. It Consummates Faith
(the “Hope of all God’s People”; His Appearing)
2. It Commences Vindication
(God’s just retribution upon an evil world)
Titus 2:11-13 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
Those Who Are Left Behind Will Experience The Full Wrath Of God
The 6th Seal in the Old Testament
Isaiah 13:9-10 See, the day of the LORD is coming –a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger– to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it. The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.
Following the 7th Seal
Isaiah 13:11-13 I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless. I will make man scarcer than pure gold, more rare than the gold of Ophir. Therefore I will make the heavens tremble and the earth will shake from its place at the wrath of the LORD Almighty, in the day of His burning anger!
The Left Behind Will KNOW WHO GOD IS And WHAT HE IS ABOUT TO DO
Revelation 6:15-17 Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him Who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of Their wrath has come and who can stand?!”
The Rapture Delivers Us From God’s Wrath
1 Thessalonians 1:8-10 The Lord’s message rang out from you…your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God and to wait for His Son from heaven, Whom He raised from the dead–Jesus, Who rescues us from the coming wrath.
6th Seal Continued (Described from Revelation Ch 6:12 thru Ch 7)
Angelic Preparations
Revelation 7:1-3 After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. He cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.”
The Raptured, Resurrected And Glorified Church Revealed
Revelation 7:9-10 After these things I looked and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the Lamb!”
The Result of His Redemption Evokes Even More Praise And Worship
Revelation 7:11-12 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever! Amen!”
The New Creation; The Kingdom Come
Revelation 7:13-17 One of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, where did they come from?” I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple. He Who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb Who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. God will wipe away every tear from their eyes”.
