The Favor Of Christmas
Luke 1:30  …you have found favor with God!

Moral Purity Allows The Favor Of God Into Our Lives
Luke 1:26-28  In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you!”

Psalm 24:3-6  Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, O God of Jacob! Selah!

God’s Favor Removes Fear From Our Lives
Luke 1:29-33  Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a Son and you are to give Him the name Yeshua. He will be great and will be called the Son of the MOST HIGH. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; His kingdom will never end!”

Nothing Is Impossible With God
Luke 1:34-37  “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the MOST HIGH will overshadow you. The Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God. Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. For nothing is impossible with God.

God’s Ability Is Beyond Comprehension
Ephesians 3:20-21  Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Recognition Of God’s Position Keeps Us In Our Position
Luke 1:38  “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as you have said.” Then the angel left her.

Genesis 3:5-6  …God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” The woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it…

The Lord’s Presence Is ONLY Revealed Supernaturally
Luke 1:39-41  So Mary got ready and hurried to the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

God Always Points To Our Savior
John 1:32-34  John gave this testimony: “I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on Him. I would not have known Him, except that the ONE WHO sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The Man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is HE WHO will baptize with the Holy Spirit.‘ I have seen and I testify that HE is the Son of God!”

Our Father Teaches Us To Come To Our Savior
John 6:44-45  No one can come to ME unless the Father WHO sent ME draws him and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from HIM comes to ME.

Faith In God’s Promises Is Faith!
Luke 1:42-45  In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women and blessed is the child you will bear!  Why am I favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leapt for joy!  Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!”

Faith Is Having Complete Confidence In God
Hebrews 11:1-2  Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.

God’s Presence With Us Produces Praise From Us
Luke 1:46-51  Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me– HOLY is His name. His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with His arm;

God’s Promises For His People Are Sure And Eternal
Luke 1:51-55  …He has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.  He has brought down rulers from their thrones and has lifted up the humble.  He has filled the hungry with good things and has sent the rich away empty.  He has helped His servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and His descendants forever, even as He said to our fathers.”
