The Earth Has Foundations
1st Samuel 2:7-8 The LORD sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the LORD’s; upon them He has set the world.
Isaiah 48:13 My Own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and My right hand spread out the heavens; when I summon them, they all stand up together.
Individual People Have Foundations
Luke 6:46-49 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.
The Church Is Built On A Foundation

Biblical Faith Has a Foundation
Hebrews 5:11-14 & 6:1-2 We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
The New Jerusalem (The Dwelling of the Saved) Has Foundations

Generosity Is a Foundation for Eternity
1 Timothy 6:17-19 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. Cultures Have Foundations & The Wicked Try To Destroy Them
Psalm 11:1-7 In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain!” The wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart. When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do? The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD is on His heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; His eyes examine them. The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence His soul hates. On the wicked He will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot. For the LORD is righteous, He loves justice; upright men will see His face!
Nations Have Foundations & God Willed Them
Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Acts 17:24-26 The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
America’s Foundation Is Christian Faith Expressed
This Form of Government is productive of every Thing which is great & excellent among Men. But its Principles are as easily destroyed, as human nature is corrupted. A Government is only to be supported by pure Religion or Austere Morals. Private and public Virtue is the only Foundation of Republics.
