The Priesthood of All Believers
1st Peter 2:5 …you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Man Rejects What God Chooses
1st Peter 2:4 — As you come to Him, the Living Stone–rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to Him…

Because He Is A Priest; We Are Priests
1st  Peter 2:5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Man’s Reject Is God’s Genius
Psalm 118:22 The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone;  the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our sight.

To Trust In What God Appoints  Is To Abolish Dismay
Isaiah 28:16 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “Behold, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who trusts (in Him) will never be dismayed.

Jesus’ Priesthood Functions Forever!
Hebrews 7:23-27 …because Jesus lives forever, He has a permanent priesthood. Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest meets our need–One who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Unlike the other high priests, He does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for His own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when He offered Himself.

Priesthood Involves Shared Affliction
I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions. Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God…

His Priests First Must be Broken
Lk 20:17 & 18—Psalm 118:22 Jesus looked directly at them and asked, “Then what is the meaning of that which is written: “‘The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone’? Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”

Our Priesthood is Royal
1st Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.

Our Priesthood is Global
Matthew 28:18-20  Jesus came to them saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Our Priesthood is Worth Singing About!
Revelation 5:9-10 They sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”

Rejection of His Priesthood Results in Rejection
1st Peter 2:7-8 …but to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone…a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message–which is also what they were destined for.
