What Is Truth? – Pt. 4
John 8:31-32
…If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Godly Love Is Known By Its Actions
1 John 3:16-17  This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. We ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.  If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?

Loving Like Christ Is Truth; Its Results Are Personal Security
1 John 3:18-20  Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.  This then is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in His presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts and He knows everything.

Our Security Brings Us Confidence
1 John 3:21-22  Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God  and receive from Him anything we ask, because we obey His commands and do what pleases Him.

Matthew 25:31-46  When the Son of Man comes in His glory and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him and He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited Me in, I needed clothes and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you came to visit Me.’
“Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink? When did we see You a stranger and invite You in, or needing clothes and clothe You? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’ “Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave Me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me nothing to drink…
I was a stranger and you did not invite Me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe Me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after Me. “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison and did not help You?’ “He will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.’ Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life!

Our knowledge of God’s truth compels us to a lifestyle that is Christlike. We treat others as Christ would, because that is how He treats us. We do good unto others because He did good unto us first. We believe that when we treat others in a Christlike manner, we are treating people as if they were the Lord Himself and in demonstrating His kind of love towards them, we fulfill any requirement that God has of us.

Our Relationship With God Is Made Possible By His Spirit Living In Us!
1 John 3:23-24  This is His command: to believe in the Name of His Son, Jesus Christ and to love one another as He commanded us. Those who obey His commands live in Him and He in them. This is how we know that He lives in us: We know it by the Spirit He gave us.

Numbers 11:24-29  Moses brought together seventy of their elders and had them stand around the Tent. Then the LORD came down in the cloud and spoke with him, He took of the Spirit that was on him and put the Spirit on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied. However, two men, whose names were Eldad and Medad, had remained in the camp. They were listed among the elders, but did not go out to the Tent.
Yet the Spirit also rested on them and they prophesied in the camp. A young man ran and told Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp!” Joshua son of Nun, who had been Moses’ aide since youth, spoke up and said, “Moses, my lord, stop them!” But Moses replied, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the LORD’s people were prophets and that the LORD would put His Spirit on all of them!”

The New Covenant Has Always Been God’s Plan
Ezekiel 11:19-20  I will give them an undivided heart and put a new Spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow My decrees and be careful to keep My laws. They will be My people, and I will be their God.

God’s Spirit Is The Spirit Of Truth
John 14:16-17  …I will pray of the Father and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; Whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He will dwell with you and shall be in you…
