What Kind of man Is He?
“What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!”
Life Is A Storm; Even When You Follow Jesus
Matthew 8:23-24 Then He got into the boat and His disciples followed Him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat, but Jesus was asleep.
Life Is A Storm; Have faith!
Matthew 8:25-26 The disciples awakened Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
Do You Know Who He Is?
Matthew 8:27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!”
Demons Know Who Jesus Is
Matthew 8:28-29 When He arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. “What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?”
Even Pigs Cannot Abide A Demon
Matthew 8:30-32 Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.” He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water.
Some People Would Rather Have Demons & Pigs Than Jesus
Matthew 8:33-34 Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region.
The Word Of God Can Put You In Your Right Mind
Luke 8:35-36 …the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. Those who had seen it told the people how the demon-possessed man had been cured.
Deliverance Is A Testimony To The Lord’s Power
Luke 8:38-39 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.
